During the week Pearl Bar serves as a neighborhood hangout for those Houstonians who reside in the Midtown and Heights areas of Houston. But on the weekends, DJ Madsounds brings the bar to life with everyone’s favorite dance music from the 80s, 90s and today. No matter what day of the week it is, our patio is the place to be. We have custom tables for the games that you love, not to mention a ping pong and hoops so you can hula your heart out! Get here early on the weekends because the tables fill up fast. Quick! Grab your beer and call, “Next”! Inside, we have a shuffleboard table, dart boards and, of course, a dance floor. Don't forget about our 100 inch Projection Screen perfect for watching the Big Game. With everything we have to offer, there is no excuse for not having a great time at the Pearl Bar!
A little history…
The building on Washington Avenue in which Pearl Bar occupies has been many things in the past including Mary Jane’s – an indie rock hangout turned concert venue. One thing that the place, no matter the name, has always been known for is its casual, laidback atmosphere. When Pearl Bar moved into the space in 2009, it kept with the feel of the venue’s past so much so that the owner was selling beer out of an igloo cooler on the back patio! After a year or so and a series of updates and renovations, Pearl Bar upped its ante, paving the way for what is now known as the Washington Corridor.
